Today's word for thought is Boldness.

Why is it sometimes hard to be bold?

Acts 28:31 (KJV)

31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Proverbs 28:1 (KJV)

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: But the righteous are bold as a lion.

Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Lord, if I have any strength, I know it comes from you. Let me walk boldly into the situations I face, confident that you are with me. With you, there is no need to be timid. I can be courageous in life because I know I can be bold with you. It is in your presence that I am met with mercy and tenderness of a good father. It is where I receive everything I need.

When I am feeling frozen, stuck, or timid, would you remind me of who you are and who I am in you? You have always been faithful to call me into my best self. I want to be like you, both bold and tender-hearted. Help me to remember that courage does not require perfection, only wellness.

So I ask again why is it sometimes hard to be bold?
